NYFW Day 1: Saturated Red + Fuchsia

After a long week+ of days and nights jampacked with shows and parties, New York Fashion Week is finally over!  Every season, I am full of anticipation before it begins, and absolutely drained by the end.  This season was no different, but now that I have a moment to breathe again, I am excited to share more of my week with you (there are already some highlight on my Instagram, if you haven’t already seen them!)  For the first official day of shows, I decided to go with two of my favorite colors right now: Bold red, and fuchsia (the color I predicted as the color of Spring/Summer 2018 back in September, and the NYT recently agreed, calling it the new “rose du jour.”) I love bright red and rich pink together, and was so happy with this color combination.

There’s no time like Fashion Week to really commit to a theme, so I decided to go all out with the color, starting with the matching red teddy coat and bag from Elvi.  I love that they are consistently offering fashion forward options in plus, and have started to include models above plus sample size in their product shots too.  To finish off the saturated look, I added red tights and boots, a sheeny pleated fuchsia dress and a hot pink matte lip.
