Of a Stripe: Late Fall Dressing

Usually, Thanksgiving in NYC heralds the coming of frigid temperatures, and means it is officially heavy coat season.   Global warming apparently has different plans for us this year.  The wider implications of warm days in late November are a bit terrifying, but I have to admit it I liked the chance to wear “bare legs” again without freezing.

This striped dress from Loralette is perfect for a cute weekend look.  The heather grey of the stripes lends a casual vibe, and the side stripes and zipper details add a little edge.  Paired with my favorite walkable over the knee boots and a longline denim jacket, it was perfect for running errands and then a low key pizza date with my husband.

Loralette is a brand aimed at a younger demographic, but I was happy to find that it doesn’t have the notoriously small “junior plus” sizing – I ordered this dress in my regular 1x and it fits great.  You typically only need to size up in this brand if you want something oversized, as I discussed in my original Loralette review.  My denim jacket is from Rachel Roy via Gwynnie Bee, and is unfortunately sold out online, but I found a similar option in black denim here.
