Pantone 2015 Color of the Year: Marsala

Every year, Pantone names a particular shade “Color of the Year,” and the effect it has on the aesthetic world is undeniable.  Sometimes it makes a big splash in beauty, like 2012’s Tangerine Tango and the reign of bright orange lipstick; sometimes it is the color de rigueur in fashion, like 2013’s Emerald.  This year’s color, the purple-pink hybrid Radiant Orchid, was a prominent accent color on the runways.  2015’s pick, Marsala, seems perfect for interior decor, as reflected in Pantone’s vaguely erotic crafting party editorial pics that accompanied the Color of the Year announcement.  Or “subtly seductive,” in their own words.  If you’d rather wear it, I’ve rounded up some pieces that you can rock now:
