It’s officially time to start thinking about party dresses, and I’m kicking off my Holiday Party series with a trend that is perfect for now and later: Sequins. This type of sparkle is often thought of as holiday-only, but sequins were all over the Fashion Week runways for Spring/Summer 2018. So instead of getting a dress for just one night, you can buy now, party it up, and know it will have new life come spring too.
Personally, I love sequins of all colors, but this rose gold feels particularly modern. Because of the limited stretch, I sized up to a 2x in this style, but I’ve found Loralette to be true to size (not the tiny “junior plus” sizing that is so prevalent for trendier brands). Pairing the rose gold with white ankle boots – the shoe of the moment – adds an unexpected twist.
Definitely got a little inspiration from Elaine Welteroth here
