OOTD: Jean Jacket and Joggers
One of the many things I love about Carmakoma is that they are not afraid to experiment. Their minimal black pieces are always amazing, but then they will throw in an unexpected use of color, fabric, or print to mix things up. These navy floral brocade track pants (!!!) immediately intrigued me, if for nothing other than the fact that I had never seen anything like them before. I had no idea how I was going to style them, but I knew I had to have them. [Deal Alert: They are on MAJOR sale right now!]
The fit on these was spot on – I typically wear a 16, but I am usually a M (18 US) in Carmakoma, and these were no different. I love the attention to detail on these – all the little athletic-inspired details are done to perfection, and the contrast with the textured floral really elevates them. For me, the styling challenge was how to incorporate navy into a wardrobe that is heavy on black.
I ended up going with a focus on white and shades of blue, including the light wash of my favorite denim moto, and the bold cobalt of this crossbody bag.
