For a friend’s holiday potluck, I wanted to be comfortable but sparkly, and this textured sequin tank was just the ticket. I loved the look of the front, but I am glad it was sweater weather: the back of the top is plain chiffon, one of my biggest pet peeves (I hate clothes that are only patterned/embellished on the front). As a layering piece, though, it really makes sense – sequins on the back might have caught on the knit or looked lumpy underneath it.
This top is the perfect type of thing to get from Gwynnie Bee (a Netflix-for-clothes rental service that I absolutely love). For me, this is a wear once or twice a year shirt – not something that I need to invest in. Having it for a holiday party and then switching it out for something new just makes sense to me.
