NYFW

Since the launch of my official site coincides with the end of 2013, it seems like a great time to recap my first year of outfit blogging.  Finding the body positive community of curvy and plus size bloggers changed my outlook on fashion, and helped me get past stumbling blocks like outmoded “rules” about what I can and cannot wear.  Chronicling my looks has, in turn, helped me come into my own more than I ever have before.  The journey is ongoing, of course, but I am really happy with how my style has evolved over the last year.

Being more adventurous with my fashion choices has led to some of my favorite looks, like my first crop top ever, worn with a silk maxi skirt to attend the historic Cabiria runway show – the first time a plus size line was ever shown at New York Fashion Week.

I’ve also been able to work with one of my favorite companies ever a few times this year, the game-changing Gwynnie Bee.  This shot is from my first photoshoot with them, in one of the comfiest dresses of all time.

Finally, in no particular order, here are my favorite everyday outfits of the year.  In 2013 I fully embraced my love of prints, experimented with different shapes and cuts, tried styles I previously shied away from (hello romper!), and just had a lot of fun with fashion.  I am very excited to see what 2014 will bring!
