OOTD: The Not So Classic LBD

Black dresses have many adjectives attached to them – the most frequent being “classic” and “timeless.”  This caged sleeve shift dress is neither, and I kind of love that.  The aforementioned timeless dresses certainly come in handy, but a LBD as a statement has its own charms.  The architectural sleeves are a great foil to the unstructured dress.

Another oft-used adjective for little black dresses did apply, though – it was definitely versatile.  I wore it with a structured blazer for work, without the statement earrings for lunch with my mom, and with the earrings and bold eyeliner for a night out.
