During Full Figured Fashion Week, there were often back-to-back events.  On Friday, the Eloquii blogger event ran right into the Indie Fashion Show, so we had to book it from Midtown to FiDi.  Anticipating this mad dash, I wanted to wear something cool and comfortable (NYC was quite hot and humid that day, which unfortunately seems to be the trend this summer).

After a bit of waffling, I landed on a crop top and an airy white skirt, with blue suede shoes for a pop of color.  The skirt is very high-waisted – sometimes to the point of obviating the purpose of a crop top – but I still loved the combo.  If you are hesitant about showing skin, this might be a good way for you to dip your toes into the trend.

Scoop neck crop top: ASOS (straight size 14 could likely fit up to a 20 in this style)

Blurred dot midi skirt: Simply Be (on sale!)

Cobalt loafer flats: Steven by Steve Madden (sold out, similar here, or here for a great designer version)

Moto satchel: Cole Haan (from like 10 years ago! Their stuff is quality.  Similar here, or here if you want your own CH bag that will last forever)

Lucite necklace: H&M (sold out, similar here, gorgeous Alexis Bittar version here)

Bonus picture on the FFFWeek red carpet, with a super awkward squinty face from the bright lights and flashes:
