Beach to Street

I love a good clothing collab, so when online plus size swim company Always for Me announced a line with accomplished stylist Timothy Snell, I was excited to see the styles.  The collection, which taps into the ongoing athleisure trend, has some pieces that can easily go beyond the pool or beach.

This long red mesh cover up instantly inspired me to style it for the city.  With the vibrant shade, dual slide slits, and a plunging geometric neckline, my first thought was to play up the sheer-ness with contrasting separates.

Sometimes it is best just to go with your fashion instincts, because when I added a bralette-style square neck crop and black denim cutoffs, it all came together.  Classic Adidas slides amped up the sporty aesthetic.  I wore this look to have brunch with blogger babe Crystal Coons from Sometimes Glam, and she said it gave her Rihanna vibes, which is pretty much the highest compliment possible.

The semi-sheer material is perfect for hot NYC summer days where you need to catch every breeze you can (like today).  This cover up also looks amazing worn for its intended use with the zipper front one piece from the Timothy Snell collection (which I also had to get).
