OOTD: Skorts! (Really)

I’m of the mindset that fashion should never take itself too seriously, and this casual weekend look embodies that philosophy.  I mean, meme shirt, mesh skorts, why not?  I first saw this meme on blogger Garner Style‘s facebook page, and loved it.  It just has so many applications!  So when I saw it on a shirt I had to have it. I ended up snagging it at my Housing Works Fashion Figures party – it was clearly meant to be. The skorts were something of a surprise for me: I wasn’t fully paying attention when I ordered them from Fashion to Figure, and I thought it was just a mini skirt with a mesh overlay.  When I got them in the mail and realized they were actually skorts, I liked them even more.  The 90’s are truly back.

To anchor the look, I added my favorite “Lo Res” flats from United Nude: They are meant to look pixelated.  Neon is a perfect accent for an athleisure inspired outfit.
