OOTD: Spring Has Sprung
“Arduous” does not even begin to describe this over-long winter we’ve had, so I am welcoming Spring with open arms and cheery florals. As soon as I saw this dress from indie plus label Poppy & Bloom, I knew I had to have it. The pin-up “wiggle” cut is perfectly va-va-voom, and yellow is one of the biggest trends for SS15.
The fit is pretty true to size – it was a bit snug in the bust and at the arm holes in this cotton stretch, but not uncomfortably so. Size up if you are busty and don’t like to feel held in. Because it is spring, and not quite warm enough for sleeveless dresses all day, I wore my cobalt trench and pumps. Yellow and blue is one of my favorite color combos, for reasons both aesthetic and athletic (Go Blue!) 🙂
I have to admit, I was feeling myself in this dress. Next time I am going to vamp it up even more, with winged eyeliner and red lips. I’m going back to my natural brunette soon too, and I think the rich yellow shade will complement it nicely.
Have you tried Poppy & Bloom yet? Their spring collection is full of pretty dresses, all cut with curves in mind. This style also comes in a stretchier scuba knit and a classic black. I love supporting independent designers that are making options better for plus, and Poppy & Bloom’s quality is fantastic, especially considering the reasonable prices.
