Outerwear Perfection from Violeta, Mango’s Inbetweenie Line
I don’t know about you, but this rainy, cooler weather has me thinking about cozy jackets. And there is no outerwear collection I am more excited about than Mango’s new Violeta line, which focuses on “inbetweenie” sizes (US sizes 8-20).
Their Fall 2014 lookbook is filled with warm hues and on-trend separates, but I am overwhelmingly drawn to their luxe jackets (like the perfect oxblood suede and leather one above) and statement coats that are still versatile enough for every day wear – leopard is a neutral, after all. I’m also loving the rich grey on their take on the “Olivia Pope coat,” a shape that is both easy to wear and garners a ton of compliments (I purchased a similar style in black a year before the trend hit, and it remains my most commented on piece of outerwear).
Another way to add an instant dose of chic to any look is to top it with a wool cape – even better if it is a cashmere blend like this one. Ever since I had lunch with blogger extraordinaire Chastity from Garner Style last winter, and she managed to make the biting cold look good in one, I’ve been on the hunt for a cape of my own. With the clean lines and luxe material of this Violeta option, I think I’ve found my match.
You can shop the Violeta line here. Most pieces from the Fall lookbook are not yet available, but check back often if you want something – they tend to go quickly!
