The Best Plus Size Deals in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
Despite frequent shouty emails to the contrary, there are very few sales that are *events* – but the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is one that actually qualifies. Instead of the typical end-of-season markdowns or constant site-wide discounts, the #NSale is a rare chance to get serious discounts on new season items, ones that will go back to full price once the Anniversary Sale ends!
The plus size selection from the NSale is frankly not nearly as plentiful as I’d like it to be (we want more options in #plussizeplease Nordstrom!), so I’ve been a little hesitant to post about it. but as I gave the sale another once over, I realized that it does contain some real gems, including one of my favorite underwire bras for full busts, cute dresses for under $20, tops that can go from work to weekend, cashmere sweaters, and more. This is also a great time to get new season outerwear on sale (even if it feels a little weird to be thinking about cozy coats in August).
There are more great deals to be found in the accessories section of the sale, including brands that rarely (if ever) go on sale like this in season. I’m eyeing this purse from Rag & Bone, which hits one of Fall 2021’s biggest handbag trends: Quilting. There are also standout bags from Kurt Geiger and Kate Spade that warrant a look if you are going for a statement. If you are the sort to really get the jump on holiday shopping, this could be a great time to get some in-season luxury items like luxe sunglasses (Tom Ford and Versace on sale? Yes!), statement watches and high end brands like Movado, and fine designer jewelry like Monica Vinader.
One thing to know about the Anniversary Sale: It has been open to Nordstrom cardholders since last month, and ends in two days, so some of the items might already be sold out in some sizes. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale discounts really do revert to full price after the so if you see something you like, buy it now – if you end up not being smitten, Nordstrom’s great return policy makes it relatively risk free.
