Spring Shoe Shopping: Mule Season

There’s something I need to say: I love hearing from my lovely readers!  Occasionally I’ll get questions accompanied by apologies for bothering me, but unless you are a weird dude trying to slide into my DMs (yuck), I’m almost never bothered.  I love fashion and sharing deals and tips with you, and your feedback helps inform me about what you want to see.  This post is a perfect example: I love mules, and was thinking about writing a big seasonal guide, but I didn’t know how much interest there was.  Then I posted this #shoefie on my IG Stories and got a deluge of questions about the shoes.  This exact pair is sold out, but I didn’t want to leave you hanging, so I did some research to find the style in pairs available now.

I believe the “Lulu” by NYC cool girl fave Loeffler Randall is the original version of this shoe, and it a style they are keeping in rotation.  Fortunately, that means the classic colors (like black suede) are still widely available, and some of the seasonal colors like silver leather and mermaid blue can be found on sale (I included a variety of LR options in the shoppable slideshow below, including a cotton candy pink pair I am now coveting myself).  I’ve also included dupes in a variety of colors and price points, with close matches starting as low as $27.  Click through to shop the best closed toe block heel mules, including some other shapes I love:

Open toe mules are another perennial favorite for me.  Again, I look for a solid block heel, both for form (minimalist vibes) and function (maximal walkability).  I rounded up all the best pairs to shop now, with something for every price point:

If flats are more your speed, don’t worry!  I sifted through thousands of pairs to find the pairs that will amp up your spring shoe assortment, no heel required:
