NYFW Day 3 Redux: The Denim Boilersuit
Plus fashion has come a long way since I first started blogging almost five years ago, but there are still plenty of moments when I am reminded that we still have a ways to go. Often, that reminder comes in the form of being unable to find an item I really want in plus. That was the case with the denim boilersuit, an oversized, fashion-forward piece that I’ve been dying to add to my closet. So when Lane Bryant sent me this wide leg number from their denim Fast Lane collection, I was immediately hooked.
This has all the utilitarian slouchy vibes of a classic fashion boilersuit, but is cut for a curvy body (no gapping at the chest or squeezing at the hips). This was the first look I finalized for my NYFW outfit line up – it is just that good.
And it has pockets!

This was my first time shooting with my friend Monica Krystel Rose, and I love how she made our rained-in bodega setting art.
These pictures were actually taken this weekend after brunch (because I never had time to shoot this outfit during fashion week)! But I’m not a celebrity who is getting snapped by paparazzi, and I have no shame in repeating an outfit in its entirety (especially one I love this much!)
Outfit details:
Denim jumpsuit: Lane Bryant (part of their limited-run “Fast Lane” collection, so get it now if you like it)
Neon mules: Zara
Holographic envelope clutch: Miista (old, similar here)
