Holiday party season is fast approaching, so when Torrid asked me to try out some of their pieces, I definitely wanted to see how their dresses fit.
I ordered this burgundy lace dress in a 1x, and it fit true to size (if a bit tight through the bust). The babydoll cut and the swingy lace skirt accentuates the waist without clinging, which ups the comfort factor immensely (perfect for a night of dancing).
One thing to keep in mind with this dress is that the keyhole detail really accentuates cleavage, and the effect is pretty dramatic if you are on the bustier side like me (i.e. this probably wouldn’t be a good pick for an office holiday party).
If you are looking for a mix of cute and sexy though, this is the dress for you. I felt amazing in it, and I just wanted to twirl around. The block heels made that possible in these high strappy heels. This rich merlot color is having a moment this year too, as evidenced by my blogger friend Alex LaRosa showing up wearing the exact shade of lace. #inadvertenttwinning
