Last Minute Gift Guide!

If gifting season has snuck up on you, never fear! There are plenty of amazing gifts to buy now that will have the thanks rolling in.

My general mantra for gifting is to choose a present the recipient will love, but might not splurge on themselves for.  Gifting a luxury service is the perfect last minute way to deliver.

If your giftee is size 10 or up, Gwynnie Bee is my hands-down top recommendation.  I’ve been a member of this monthly subscription service for over four years now (!!!), and it has truly changed my life – joining was actually the first step that led to me starting this blog!  Full disclosure, I work at Gwynnie Bee now (that’s how much I love it), but I’d be giving this unbridled endorsement either way – it is a great service, allowing for risk-free experimenting with style, and giving a subscription is quite literally the gift that keeps on giving.  The recipient will get nicely wrapped packages with clothes of their choosing for however long a subscription you give.  People often describe the experience of Gwynnie Bee as “like Christmas morning with every package,” and you can be the Santa behind that!  The compliments that they will get on their hot new looks will keep the thanks coming.  Check out the Gwynnie Bee gift subscriptions here.

Another amazing subscription to gift is Blue Apron.  If you follow me on Instagram, you probably have noticed my effusive reviews of this gourmet meal delivery service – I just can’t stop raving about it.  My husband joined on a whim, and like Gwynnie Bee, this subscription has literally been life changing.  I am someone who loves going out to eat, and I live in one of the best dining cities in the world, so cooking had never been a top priority for me.  Now Blue Apron has me more excited for cooking date nights than dining out, something I never would have believed possible if you told me just a few months ago.  The ingredients are sent in the perfect proportions (no waste), and the recipes are clear and easy to execute. We were complete rookies before we subscribed (spaghetti with canned pasta sauce was as complex as it got), so this is gift that can work for even the most inexperienced cooks.  The perfectly balanced flavor combinations and quality of the ingredients make it worthwhile for great homechefs too (one of our good friends is amazing in the kitchen and loves her subscription too!).  Blue Apron just launched it’s giftcard program, too:

If you want to give something tangible, personalized fine jewelry is a sweet and thoughtful option, and NYC-based Sarah Chloe offers chic bangles and necklaces that can be engraved with any message you desire.  I’m partial to the Roman Numeral bangle, which I am getting with our wedding date 🙂  This style offers rush personalization so you can get it delivered by Christmas, but if you order too late, just send a card with the inscription numerals and a hint of what’s to come !
