It’s not every day you get an invite to a fashion show at the United Nations, so when I received one for the Christian Siriano for Lane Bryant collection debut, I was beyond excited.  The show was gorgeous, and the following Empowering Women NYC conference was inspiring (full recap to come soon!).  Picking out an outfit to attend this momentous occasion was no easy feat.

After trying and discarding many outfits, I landed on my favorite chic pencil skirt and a structured crop top, thus fulfilling the dream I never knew I had of wearing a crop top to the UN.  I rarely wear heels, but this occasion warranted taking my new Matt Bernson heels for a spin.
