OOTD: High Slit Palazzo Pants
I never knew I needed ultra wide leg palazzo pants with slits that go almost to the waist, but the minute I saw these pants in the Elvi fall lookbook, I had to have them. The color and the dramatic peekaboo slit make them such a statement piece, so naturally I wore them to NYFW. I love that Elvi is making such fashion forward pieces in plus size, not watring down the aesthetic in the name of what plus women “should” wear. I added accessories from some of my favorite up and coming jewelry and handbag designers.
This gorgeous rose gold quartz necklace from Dara Senders was a piece that made an impoact of its own, but without disrupting the harmony of the outfit. It is a reversible necklace, with the natural contours of the crystal on one side (shown), and high polish holographic gloss on the other.
The subtle rosie hue contrasting the warm cognac fringe on this Marie Odile for Soltek bucket bag made it the perfect accompaniment.
The day was sunny and pleasant after my first show, but by the time I met up with blogger babes Jess from Clothes and Shit and Allie from Ailurophile with Style, the skies had darkened and a storm was clearly imminent. Indeed, not 30 seconds after the last photo was snapped, the clouds opened up on us, and we had to rush in to H&M to prevent getting totally soaked.
