One of the things I love about New York is the sheer abundance of the arts.  There are openings pretty much every night, but Thursdays are the best for gallery hopping, and Chelsea is the center of the action.  In the course of a couple of hours, we went to 5+ galleries, saw a wide variety of styles, and enjoyed some serious people watching.

As always, when I have an art-centric day, I like to wear an abstract print that would not be out of place on a canvas itself.  This Carmakoma cropped jacket fit the bill, and was a fun accent to my jumpsuit-esque combo of a tank and harem pants.

I also loved this random construction site window we encountered on our walk back.  And don’t mind my blurred hand – it’s… abstract.  Totally.
