OOTD: Summer Shirtdress
I’ve always liked the look of shirtdresses, but I typically never end up wearing them – things that button over the chest tend to present problems for me. So I was both excited and hesitant to try this one from Gwynnie Bee. I sized up to accommodate my boobs, and that was the right decision – there was still some gapping at the chest when I moved. I solved that with a safety pin, and resolved to get some double sided tape.
The floral print and relaxed fit combined to give the dress a casual-pretty vibe, which I love. I decided to play up the hints of neon yellow in the pattern with mini wedge sandals, which apparently also need some double sided tape to tame the errant ankle straps. Ah well, c’est la vie! I still loved the look, and I now have renewed hope for shirtdresses and me to live happily ever after.
