Since I saw this olive houndstooth dress in last fall’s amazing Anna Scholz campaign, shot on the wintry streets of the Meatpacking District, I’ve coveted it for my own.  I didn’t have funds for it at the time, though, so when I spotted it amongst the generous donations made by Gwynnie Bee to my favorite thrift shop Housing Works, I snatched it up immediately.  The shoulder studs need a bit of TLC, but I am at least that proficient at sewing now 🙂

This dress unsurprisingly looks amazing styled for winter, as demonstrated below by the gorgeous Clementine Desseaux in a shot from the lookbook. But I wanted to wear it on a pleasant (if grey) spring day, so I decided to steer away from black accessories.  My legs are incredibly pale after a long winter, but I’m no longer worried about hiding it (what a difference body positivity makes!), so I went ahead and lightened up the look with my favorite neutral shoe, the Izabel mini wedge from Matt Bernson.
