For the last official day of #NYFW (which started

For the last official day of #NYFW (which started with @normakamali and ended with me scurrying home from an afterparty in the snow), I wanted to go full maximalist and make a statement. The Surveillance Dress from @jordanpiantedosi was just the thing; an artistic reminder not to accept increasingly restrictive oversight that is meant to take away our freedom. And I love that Beautiful Genius is a size inclusive (up to 5x), woman owned label full of color and vibrant designs. I paired it with my beloved @marina.rinaldi quilted coat, a metallic purple Telfy, and lots of accessories. One of my favorite ways to play with fashion is to style against type. For example, this lush @selkie silk dress is gorgeous styled romantically, but for #NYFW I decided to switch it up. Paired with a balloon sleeve coat, an acid wash denim @mm6maisonmargiela bag, and my favorite white croc stamped @stuartweitzman platform boots (a beloved @dsw find!), it is a completely different vibe, and I love it. So this is a reminder: Don’t feel restricted to wearing clothes the expected way - sometimes the magic is in the unexpected combinations ❤️

One of the things I love about #NYFW is getting to see designers do fashion their own way, and @laurenaltmanstudio’s “Future Relics” presentation of upcycled pieces is a perfect example. With a stunning cast and excellent styling by @krisfashion1, it was unlike anything else I saw this season. And I’ve heard there might be a size expansion coming, so watch this space for more 👀 And when I styled my own look for the day (which also included the @melkenyc show), I didn’t even realize that my prized thrift find (a vintage slip that actually fits!) would be so perfectly on-theme

Between the purple haze, the live rock show from @thespyrals, and this modern take on late 60’s rocker fashion, the @cucculellishaheen runway had me wondering if Jimi Hendrix was a muse for their retro-tinged FW25 collection (in the very best way) Will be sharing more from the show in my Stories, but I can’t get this look out of my head - I think we might be heading for another vibe shift, tbh! #nyfw #cucculellishaheen
