For the first day of daylight savings, snow was on the ground but hopes of spring were in the air.  It was the perfect day to wear a combo of blush pink and stark black.  Opaque tights and boots were so necessary for the temps, but I still felt a lot more optimistic when I got off the subway at the end of my commute and there was daylight left, however brief. I am declaring winter OVER.

This outfit is also notable because it really shows how deep I have gotten into the “subscription lifestyle.”  The dress is from my favorite subscription service, Gwynnie Bee, and is perfect for rental – not the type of piece that would be a wardrobe staple for me, but still fun to wear for a day. The blush pink handbag is from a newer subscription service: Rent the Runway’s Unlimited Plan. Their structure is very similar to Gwynnie Bee’s, but more accessories-focused (they recently expanded the service to include clothing, but the plus size options are pretty limited, unless you like to wear formal dresses every day).  For handbags and jewelry, I am loving it thus far.  I’ve been a member about a month and a half, and though I have some qualms, it is a great way for me to get more accessory variety in my life. I enjoyed wearing this high end jewelry, but the real value for me for RTR Unlimited is the handbags. The other subscription service in this outfit is Rocksbox, which is very new for me (I’ve been a member less than a month!) I’m enjoying it so far, but want to experience it a bit more before I do a full review.  In the meantime, I have three free trials to give away – first three people to comment requesting one get it!  This moonstone bangle from Margaret Elizabeth is pretty, and accented the gold waist detail on my belt well, but is not a keeper for me.
