135 Plus Size Party Dresses Perfect for New Year’s Eve 2025

As a self-described magpie – I’ve literally stopped mid-sentence to say “oooh, sparkly!” when something catches my eye – I am a big fan of New Year’s Eve. Metallics, sequins, and shine? Immediately yes. And there are a LOT of great options in plus sizes this year, in prices from budget (I’m talking $20!) to pure luxury. It can be a little overwhelming to sift through them all, so I’ve done the legwork of rounding up the best plus size party dresses for you, all in one place. Check out my recs and scroll through the slideshows below to find your perfect look to ring in the new year!

As always, if you find something you love from this post, it is so appreciated if you could use my link/code to shop: It costs you nothing, and it supports the work I do here and on my Curvily socials, and helps me be able to spend the time it takes to make comprehensive round ups like this one!

Some personal favorites:

Baacal is one of my favorite designer labels – Cynthia Vincent really knows how to dress curves beautifully! – and I always end up wearing my Baacal items over and over. I didn’t think that would be true of this stunning hematite crystal mesh dress though, because who wears formal gowns regularly? So I was pleasantly surprised to find that even this sparkly beauty is versatile enough to wear regularly. I’ve already worn it three times (once to a Susanne Bartsch party, once to NYFW layered under a sweater to make it a skirt, and once to a red carpet event to accept my Advocacy Award at the FFIAS!), and I’m going to be wearing it again soon! It comes with a detached full length slip, and worn with that it is appropriate for even the fanciest situations, but you can also use it as a creative layer over pants or wear a different color slip to change the vibe. It is by far the most versatile and stunning formalwear item I’ve seen, and I can’t recommend it enough. Because I love it so much, I was able to get Baacal to give me an exclusive reader discount code on this style: CRYSTAL20

Selkie just dropped a sparkly sequin collection, which includes their signature dresses and some cool alternatives like a ruffly sequin tulle jacket and a fully sequined lace up bustier – how good would this look with a pair of baggy jeans and heels? I always feel amazing in their dresses, and I can’t even imagine how untouchable I’d feel in a sequin version! You can use my reader code CURVILY for a discount too!

Eloquii is one of my go-tos for fun sequin numbers, and they have great sales on a regular basis. One thing to note though: Their shipping times have been a bit longer lately, so I recommend ordering ASAP if you want get it in time for NYE!

Rebdolls has some really cool party-dress designs this year, and they are a great brand if you want to support a small woman owned business but a higher priced designer label isn’t in the budget. Sizes S-5X too!

Tamara Malas is a great option if you want something unique from a cool NYC designer who offers sizes 2-36. I wore this glorious blue metallic babydoll dress to host her NYFW store opening party, and it was an absolute compliment magnet (and just made me want to twirl!) And you can get a special discount on your order by using my reader code CURVILY at checkout too!

ASOS has a great selection of NYE-ready looks in plus, and they are currently offering an extra 25% off sale promo with code EXTRA25 (creative, I know!) Their shipping also tends to be fast, so they are one to consider if you are looking last minute.

City Chic is an Australian plus size brand that has been making cute plus size dresses for over a decade, but their party options have been especially good lately. Don’t miss their sale section too – lots of gorgeous sequin numbers for $20 (including this excellent fringe mini I am currently eying)!!
