Blogger Collab I Love: Katie Sturino for Eloquii

These days, my biggest source of fashion inspiration is fellow fashion bloggers, so I love to see brands do blogger collaborations: Basically their Platonic idea of style in shoppable form.  Katie Sturino, the woman behind The 12ish Style, has great taste – what I tend to think of as classic prep with a bit of quirk – so I was excited for what her collection would entail when it was announced she was partnering with personal favorite Eloquii.  I got a sneak peek at the preview at Ladurée Soho.

The charming French cafe setting was perfect for the classic (and very Parisian) pieces in the collection, like the striped sweater and this gorgeous camel wool coat.

Katie did not limit herself to timeless staples.  The collab is chock-full of amazing statement styles, like a moon-print shirt dress with a full skirt, and this incredible shearling-arm bomber.

As Katie Sturino is a big proponent of animals (she is the rescue dog mom to famous pups Toast, Muppet, and Pants), all the fur and leather in the collection is vegan and cruelty free.  Katie also made sure to give something for us dog lovers, both in pup-print pieces for human wear:

… and in pup-sized versions of the main line:

Needless to say, this was one of the cutest previews I’ve ever attended.

The people-sized collection was very well-received, with everyone in attendance raving about different pieces.  The bomber and the silky navy athleisure set were consistent blogger favorites.

I got to chat with the lovely Stacy London about the collab, and she waxed poetic about the attention to detail Katie put into the clothing, pointing to thoughtful and timely accents like the grosgrain ribbon on the collar of the floral dress.

I ended up getting the floral dress for myself, and I can attest that the attention to detail continues with the fit.

The dress fits my bust and waist perfectly, and is so amazing on.  I got compliments everywhere I went the first time I wore it.

I also got the classic striped sweater, and made the mistake of sizing up when I didn’t need to – this collection runs true to size!  My personal aesthetic skews a bit less classic, so I paired it with ankle jeans and leopard booties to put my own spin on it.  Now that I know the fit and quality of this line, I am coveting a few more pieces for my own.  Some items are selling out already, so shop the collection below now to get your favorites:
