The Discovery Factor: Why I Love Gwynnie Bee

When I started blogging four years ago, you could count the brands offering interesting clothes in plus on two hands (and probably have a few fingers left over).  It wasn’t hard to try every modern plus brand and keep up with new designers when they ventured into the size range, because they were all so few and far between.  Though we’ve hardly reached parity with the thousands of brands available in straight sizes, we are now at a place where even a fashion-obsessed person like me can struggle to keep up with all the new launches (and as a blogger, that is literally my job!)  Enter Gwynnie Bee: The clothing subscription service with over a hundred brands, including three I discovered through them this month:

My first new-to-me plus brand I tried this month was Soprano, with this navy satin wrap dress I wore for NYFW.  I hadn’t heard of this label before, but I loved the vintage boudoir vibe of this piece, and will be keeping out an eye for more from them.

My favorite new brand I’ve found through my GB subscription lately is Hutch, a fun Made in NYC contemporary label.  I wore and loved the above caftan-esque dress a few times during this unseasonably warm September, and now that it is getting cooler, I sent back to Gwynnie Bee to swap out for something new.

I also got compliments every time I wore this monochrome block-effect dress, another pick from Hutch.  This one is going back to Gwynnie Bee now too – I love being able to seasonally swap out my wardrobe!  And I actually just got a new fall floral maxi from Hutch in my latest package 🙂

I’m actually ending the month in another brand discovery: Gilli.  This navy flare sleeve midi has some serious autumn boho vibes, and I decided to amp it up with navy ankle boots and a caramel studded crossbody bag – perfect for a day of shopping and blogging downtown.  It has been awesome to try out all these new plus size labels without any risk – if I get something with Gwynnie Bee and don’t like it, I just throw it in a pre-paid return bag and drop it in any USPS mailbox, and I’m on my way to getting something new from my virtual closet IRL  Even better, I can return get new shipments as often as I want, and I never have to pay more than my flat fee unless I want to buy something and keep it forever!

Have you tried Gwynnie Bee yourself?  Have any questions for me?  I’ve been a member for over five years now, so I know a lot about it 🙂  Let me know, or click below to check it out risk free.

Why buy it when you can GB it? Free shipping. Free exchanges. Free 30-day wardrobe rental.

Disclosure: I am a Gwynnie Bee affiliate, and this post contains affiliate links.  All thoughts and opinions my own, as always!  I’ve also been a GB fan for long before I had any incentive to share, and the service has only improved since then ????
