OOTD: Palazzo Pants

Ah, palazzo pants.  A style that I have always admired from afar, as it is constantly described as a trend that is only for the tall and skinny, and I am neither.  At 5’4″, I am usually the shortest blogger in the room, so even after tackling other outdated fashion rules, this one still seemed a bit daunting to me.  In the spirit of pushing myself, I decided to go ahead and order these printed palazzos from Fashion to Figure (now on sale!)  When I put them on and instantly loved them, it was a great reminder that most do’s and don’ts are garbage.

The fit on these pants is spot on – high waisted and lightweight.  You could wear these with a simple tank on a hot day, but I wanted to style them for the transition to fall.  With a cropped tee and a long line vest, the look is perfect for the toasty temps of early September.  I went tonal with the accessories, with a cobalt blue handbag from Botkier and white platforms from Cole Haan picking up the colors in the printed pant.
