Today I stopped by the preview of the Fashion to Figure Sample Sale, and I was very impressed by what I saw.  Racks on racks of clothing in sizes 1x to 3x, with lots of variety and great styles.  There are also handbags, belts, and jewelry.  And the prices are so low!  $10 for dresses, jumpsuits, purses and jackets; $5 for shirts, pants, and skirts; $2 for belts, scarves and necklaces; and $1 for rings and earrings.  Even better, all proceeds from the sample sale go to Dress for Success.  Win-win!

I don’t have pierced ears, but I was pining over these great earrings.  This Clover Canyon-esque dress was another favorite (not in my size though – someone snap it up!)

I was only able to stay for a short while, but I ran into some lovely women who are part of the plus size fashion community:  Rosaliz Jimenez from People StyleWatch; Marcy Cruz from Plus Model Magazine; and fabulous model Liris Crosse (modeling a FTF dress available at the sale).  They were all fantastic, and it was great chatting about the sale goodies, and more serious issues in plus fashion (like the refusal of some brands to add larger sizes, while creating a new smaller size (000).

Fashion to Figure is taking a much better approach, offering fun fast fashion in plus sizes.  I had a great time speed shopping the sale, and ended up scoring this dress, a jumpsuit (my first!), a fringed kimono, a belt, and a ton of necklaces, all for $32!  The sale opens up to the public tomorrow, so here’s the info, and some key tips:
