It feels like I successfully manifested more dogs

It feels like I successfully manifested more dogs on runways, and I love it ❤️ @rachelantonoff is a long time fave of mine (their delightfully weird designs and excellent fit is a winning combo), so of course I had to go to their #NYFW show with handbag designer @susan_alexandra, and it wasn’t just a typical catwalk: It was a full fledged, star studded dog show hosted by @kateberlant and @jacnov, judged by @bridgeteverett, and featuring a beautifully diverse group of models accompanying the precious rescue bbs. A++, highly recommend more fashion shows feature puppies, and I can’t wait to wear some of these designs (Rachel Antonoff offers sizes 0-26, btw!)

I was so happy when I heard that @reneecafaroatelier was doing a solo show this season - I’ve been a fan of her designs since she first launched her patented Game Changer dress for @rcapubliclabel, and I’ve enjoyed watching her evolution as a designer with her Atelier runways. This collection was filled with vintage inspiration and unique expected twists, like the stunning vintage watch harness @veronicapomee wore to open the show. I loved so many pieces from this collection, and it was so great to see a beautiful range of plus models walking too. I’ll be sharing more from the show on Stories soon, but now I have to run to my next event - we’re only on official Day 2 of #NYFW, after all! #reneecafaroatelier #reneecafaro #plussizefashion

Which look do you love the most? I’m torn between the modern updates on 80’s volume and the 🔥🔥🔥 sheer lace numbers, but the twisted tulle gown that brings both themes together might have to be my very favorite. And I *always* appreciate @csiriano for offering all of their gorgeous gowns and separates in their full size range (0-30!), and showcasing their beautiful fit on a range of bodies on the runway (like the fit on that seafoam green gown?? Omg).

Had the honor of hosting the @tamara.malas NYFW opening of her gorgeous new store last night, and it was AMAZING! Thank you to all the gorgeous people who came out to celebrate truly size inclusive fashion (sizes 0-36 on the racks!) - and looked 🔥🔥🔥 doing it! (Seriously, everyone brought the fashion!) The vibes were incredible, and it always makes me so happy to be able to bring together inclusive community during Fashion Week - because all bodies belong here, period. P.S. I’ll be sharing more from the party on my Stories, along with lots more #NYFW behind the scenes all week!

Ok look, I KNOW it’s not practical to always have puppies on the runway, but hear me out: PUPPIES ON THE RUNWAY 😍🐶🥰🦮 First show of my season was the cutest catwalk (pupwalk?) for a great cause: The Elysian Catwalk Furbaby Fashion Show, hosted by #NYFW founder @fernmallis ❤️ Thank you to @readelysian and @lawlormedia for such an adorable way to start a busy week of shows! Now I just have to remind myself I can’t adopt anymore pups lol

Last season, #NYFW officially kicked off with one of my proudest moments: An incredible talk on size inclusion at Fashion Week that @theislandiva and I dreamt up and worked with @imgmodels and @elleusa to make a reality, featuring industry icons @ashleygraham @meansss and @gabriellak_j. The conversation was 🔥🔥🔥, and we all agreed on the importance of real representation on and off the runways. It was an incredible way to start off Fashion Week, and I’m really hoping that this season sees more shows put what we discussed in action. Body positivity is not a trend, and plus size shoppers aren’t going anywhere. I have some great designers on my schedule that consistently show body diversity on the runway and prove that their designs look amazing on all bodies, and I can’t wait to share them with you!
