Summer 2016 Trend: Off the Shoulder

If you are looking for the neckline of the moment, the answer is, hands-down, off the shoulder.  That "hands-down" might be a bit literal when it comes to this style, but the boho-romantic vibes are worth it, even if you can't throw your hands in the air with abandon while rocking the look (unless you are Beyoncé, of course).

Trend Report: Spring Pastels

Just like flowers blooming and florals being groundbreaking yet again, some trends are naturally perennial to Spring.  Pastels are evocative of the soft, hopeful nature of the season, so it is no surprise that they are back this year.  Just because something is expected doesn't mean it has to be boring, however.  The pastel options available in plus this year are GOOD, with styles for every aesthetic. Whether you want something sweet (like the mint confection from Fashion to Figure pictured above) or edgy (like the clear holographic rain coat pictured in the slideshow below), there are so many good pieces to shop now!  Click through to find your favorite - I've included options at many price points too.

Designer Collab: Sophie Theallet for Cacique, Valentine Collection

The latest lingerie collaboration from designer Sophie Theallet is here just in time for Valentine's Day.  The collection is equal parts  seductive (luxe lace in red and black, perfectly placed cutouts) and playful (like the nod to the French influence on the "Mon Amour" mesh camidoll).  I love the natural vibe of the campaign images too - it is refreshing to see models who aren't a classic hourglass, and who aren't photoshopped to inhuman smoothness.  I hope to see this trend continue.

Get the Look: Michelle Obama’s SOTU Narcisco Rodriguez Marigold Dress

No matter your politics, I think everyone can agree that Michelle Obama was a vision in a gorgeous shade of marigold at the State of the Union last night.  Her Narcisco Rodriguez sheath was a bold statement, and she was absolutely radiant in the warm hue.  I immediately looked for similar dresses, and found a great dupe from Kasper, available in plus, for under $50!  This Nippon Boutique dress is similar as well, and is still in stock in size 14W here, and sizes 18-24W here.

I've rounded up my favorites below, along with the accessories to take the look to full holiday-party-festive levels.
