Double denim?  Psssh!  Try  TRIPLE denim 😉

This tritone chambray dress from Mynt 1792 is definitely not something I would have tried without Gwynnie Bee – it is a bit too far outside of my comfort zone to purchase online.  I also ending up sizing up on this dress, when most of Mynt’s pieces fit me true to size.

Once I got it, I knew I had to commit with the styling – if it didn’t look purposeful, this dress could easily veer into cowgirl territory (NOT my aesthetic).  So I went “full hipster” with a bowler hat and suede ankle booties – also not my usual look, but perfect for an art opening and some going-away drinks for friend, and not so far removed from my personal style that it felt like playing dress up.  As the day went on, I ended up loving the look, and was glad I pushed myself to find a way to wear it that worked for me.  I’m still not moving to Williamsburg or anything 🙂

But apparently I should take my all of my outfit of the day pictures in sunset lighting.
