OOTD: Making a Tube Skirt Professional

When it comes to making something office-appropriate, never underestimate the power of adding a sharp, structured blazer. I’ve worn this jersey patterned skirt to the office as a skirt and as a dress, some days switching from one to the other to transition from a more conservative daytime look to a sexier weekend style. ¬†Transformer skirt!

Here, I had a relatively laid back day at work ahead of me, but I was still meeting-ready if necessary.  The blue suede shoes added a touch of fun to the look.

Blazer: Kenneth Cole (via Lord & Taylor)

Skirt, worn as a dress: ASOS Curve (sold out, but similar styles available – look for “high rise waist” and “stretch jersey fabric” in the description)

Tights: Hue (via DSW)

Cobalt suede flats: Steve Madden (via their L.E.S. store, which is purportedly closing soon and has some great sales right now)

  1. Those shoes totally make this outfit! I have a few skirts I wear as dresses, but with cardigans or other things over them since I don’t own a blazer. Blazer screams Knots Landing to me, but you look fabulous here.
